Senior, Grecia Rodriguez finished 6th overall, and 9th grader, Lauren Cruz had an impressive first showing at the TAPPS State Golf Tournament in Waco, TX.

Our girls also had the opportunity to tour McLane Satdium on the campus of Baylor University!

Congratulations to junior, Abigail Lowe, on her special recognition for El Paso Women Leaders of STEAM Day/Week by City Rep, Chris Canales.
Abigail will be representing Radford School at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair on May 10th - 16th in Columbus, Ohio.

Luna Villa represented Radford on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at the Association of Texas Small School Bands in Levelland, Texas. She placed 5th out of 7, but only 1st place advances to state. She was the only Freshman in her group. All other students were juniors and seniors, so she did very well. What a great learning opportunity for her.
We are super proud of her performance and representation of Radford.
Association of Texas Small School Bands
The Association of Texas Small School Bands is a musical organization dedicated to promoting the interests of small school bands in the state of Texas. The focus of ATSSB is on serving the needs of small school band students, directors, parents, and administrators.
Radford School will operate on a two-hour delay for students and faculty on Friday, January 10, 2025 due to low temperatures and continued precipitation. The safety and well-being of our students and faculty is our primary priority. We thank for your patience and cooperation during this weather challenges.
Due to the uncertainty of local weather conditions and in order to prioritize the safety of our students and staff, Radford School will be CLOSED tomorrow, Wednesday January 8, 2025.
We will continue to remain in contact with area school districts regarding weather conditions. We will communicate with you all in the event that there are changes to the schedule for Thursday, January 9, 2025.

Radford School is pleased to announce the appointment of Manuel (Manny) Castruita as its new Executive Director, effective immediately. Mr. Castruita brings over 35 years of experience in education, having served in various capacities including classroom teacher, school counselor, counselor coordinator, professional development trainer, and director of counseling.
Mr. Castruita holds a Bachelor of Science in Education (1988) with a focus on English and History, and a Master of Education in Counseling (1992), both from the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). His career in the public school system is marked by a steadfast commitment to student-centered education, emphasizing both academic excellence and social-emotional learning.
In the summer of 2022, after retiring from public education, Mr. Castruita joined Radford School as Assistant Director of Secondary Instruction. In this role, he was instrumental in enhancing the school’s curriculum and fostering a supportive learning environment.
As Executive Director, Mr. Castruita will oversee all aspects of Radford School’s operations, including academic programs, faculty development, and student services. His extensive experience and dedication to holistic education align perfectly with Radford School’s mission to encourage and enable, at the highest level, the search for knowledge, skill, and understanding.
“We are thrilled to welcome Mr. Castruita as our new Executive Director,” said Jim Fashing, Chairperson of the Board of Directors. “His vast experience and passion for education make him the ideal leader to guide Radford School into the future.”
