Our spring production of Cinderella is a wrap! Thank you to our wonderful cast and crew for all their hard work and long hours rehearsing. Thank you to our amazing volunteers for their time and donations, and a big thank you to everyone who came to see the show.

Last Friday, our Sophomores, Juniors, and several Seniors went to UTEP for TSI testing (for Dual Credit eligibility/admission to UT schools) and toured UTEP afterwards.

We held our annual Radford Spelling Bee today! 3rd-8th grade students competed for an opportunity to compete in the El Paso Regional Spelling Bee! Thank you to Ms. Giorgi and Ms. Mitchell for their hard work in making it a tremendous success!

Hannah Eichel is our next senior to be showcased! Radford has been her home since she was 3 years old and she plans on becoming a cardiac surgeon.

Our theater program is a great chance for students from all grade levels to interact and learn from each other. Our high school and middle school students enjoy mentoring our lower school students as we all work towards achieving a common goal.

Sophia Armendariz has been at Radford since she was in 2nd grade. In our second senior interview, she recounts all the great memories and teachers that helped make her a proud Knight!

Luna Villa represented Radford on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at the Association of Texas Small School Bands in Levelland, Texas. She placed 5th out of 7, but only 1st place advances to state. She was the only Freshman in her group. All other students were juniors and seniors, so she did very well. What a great learning opportunity for her. We are super proud of her performance and representation of Radford. Association of Texas Small School Bands The Association of Texas Small School Bands is a musical organization dedicated to promoting the interests of small school bands in the state of Texas. The focus of ATSSB is on serving the needs of small school band students, directors, parents, and administrators.

Hector Arcelus-Villasana is our first senior to be showcased! He is a bright and vibrant student with aspirations to dominate the world of high fashion and we can’t wait for that to happen! Good luck, Hector! Once a Knight, always a Knight!

Our seniors are even closer to making their mark in this world by continuing their education in university in the fall. Last semester, Abies Carlo, MS from @gcu visited with exciting opportunities for our future graduates to continue their journey with them.

Radford School will operate on a two-hour delay for students and faculty on Friday, January 10, 2025 due to low temperatures and continued precipitation. The safety and well-being of our students and faculty is our primary priority. We thank for your patience and cooperation during this weather challenges.

Yesterday, our little Knights sharpened their academic competition skills with some chess!

Due to the uncertainty of local weather conditions and in order to prioritize the safety of our students and staff, Radford School will be CLOSED tomorrow, Wednesday January 8, 2025. We will continue to remain in contact with area school districts regarding weather conditions. We will communicate with you all in the event that there are changes to the schedule for Thursday, January 9, 2025. Please tune to your local TV and radio stations.

Radford School is pleased to announce the appointment of Manuel (Manny) Castruita as its new Executive Director, effective immediately. Mr. Castruita brings over 35 years of experience in education, having served in various capacities including classroom teacher, school counselor, counselor coordinator, professional development trainer, and director of counseling. Mr. Castruita holds a Bachelor of Science in Education (1988) with a focus on English and History, and a Master of Education in Counseling (1992), both from the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). His career in the public school system is marked by a steadfast commitment to student-centered education, emphasizing both academic excellence and social-emotional learning. In the summer of 2022, after retiring from public education, Mr. Castruita joined Radford School as Assistant Director of Secondary Instruction. In this role, he was instrumental in enhancing the school’s curriculum and fostering a supportive learning environment. As Executive Director, Mr. Castruita will oversee all aspects of Radford School’s operations, including academic programs, faculty development, and student services. His extensive experience and dedication to holistic education align perfectly with Radford School’s mission to encourage and enable, at the highest level, the search for knowledge, skill, and understanding. “We are thrilled to welcome Mr. Castruita as our new Executive Director,” said Jim Fashing, Chairperson of the Board of Directors. “His vast experience and passion for education make him the ideal leader to guide Radford School into the future.”
